City Art Rotterdam is proud to present this duo from the USA. This concert is made possible by “Live in you livingroom during North Sea Jazz around town” and City Art Rotterdam.

Nat Osborn and Dustin Carlson have been making music together for over half their lives. Osborn, a pianist and singer/songwriter and Carlson, a guitarist, have the sort of musical understanding and connection that can only be forged with countless hours in studio sessions, stage time, and basement jam sessions. Together they have recorded four albums, played festivals and clubs in a dozen countries and performed on television in half a dozen. As the singer/songwriter and guitarist of the international touring act and Rope-A-Dope recording artist Nat Osborn Band, the two have cultivated an musical understanding as the core of large ensemble.

Performing this summer as a duo that features Carlson’s virtuosic guitar playing and Osborn’s soulful voice and clever songs. Nat “writes smart, punchy tunes that blend old-school Gershwin-era song craft with decidedly modern sensibilities” (Popdose).

Osborn + Carlson are from New York City. The city’s endless energy is in their blood and in the music they play, something they carries with them regardless of whatever part of the world their performing in. Stylistically it’s like New York itself, an eclectic mix of influences. One can expect to hear a unique blend of old school soul, jazz influenced harmony, and tinges of funk, and blues, and all centered around smart, well crafted pop songs performed with passion.

This is their first time performing in the Netherlands together.

The entrance is free.
The exposition of the photographes from the North Sea Jazz Archives and all other works of art is opened before and after the concert. There will be non alcohil coctails available.
